L’Azienda dei Principi di Spadafora
was founded by Don Pietro dei Principi di Spadafora and
is now guided by his son, Francesco. Producing wines solely
from the grapes he grows himself, Francesco proudly maintains
the standards established after the earthquake of 1968,
when Don Pietro revamped his vineyards with the reinstatement
of native vines and the introduction of alien ones. Francesco
Spadafora is incredibly meticulous in analyzing the terroir
of his vineyards, and he has found Syrah to be particularly
well suited to the land.
