Ruggeri
The Bisol family’s history in wine dates back to the mid-sixteenth century, with its modern era commencing with the founding of Ruggeri in 1950 by Giustino Bisol. Ruggeri produces a full range of Prosecco wines representing the primary villages in Valdobbiadene as well as the full breadth of styles relative to the vinification of Prosecco. (It also produces sparkling versions of the traditional Champagne grapes, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.) Grapes are sourced from more than 80 growers, and 80% of the yield derives from the Valdobbiadene zone. In 1993, the winery commenced a new phase in its production with the establishment of a modern facility. Interestingly, the Ruggeri label is inspired by a notary mark, a
homage to the Ruggeri family’s notary service in the 17th and 18th centuries. The triangle represents perfection and divinity, and the pierced heart occupying the center represents truth. This bottling, known as the Gold Label, represents an extra-dry version. A persistent perlage fashions a character of grace.
