Francesco
Rinaldi e Figli Giovanni Rinaldi came to Barolo from
Diano d’Alba in 1870 to claim the land he had inherited.
Though he had not planned to spend his life making wine,
the rolling hills enchanted him and he quickly applied his
passionate nature to the fruit of his vineyards, establishing
a tradition of meticulous work and exacting standards. Over
time Giovanni’s children joined him in his work, and
today the estate is run by new generations that exude the
same energy and feel the same allure of the land. Rinaldi’s
commendable bottlings include two cru Barolos – Cannubbio
and Le Brunate – as well as a traditional Barolo that
blends fruit from vineyards in Barolo and La Morra.
