Il
Quadrifoglio It is unfortunate that, despite an enological
history dating back thousands of years, Lazio remains obscure
in the contemporary wine scene. Il Quadrifoglio is one of
just a handful of producers straining to improve the region’s
image by demonstrating its potential for high quality. This
estate, located behind the Lepini Mountains in Doganella
di Ninfa, is owned by the De Gregorio family. With viticultural
experience beginning in 1937, the family dedicated most
of their 100 hectares to vines: the indigenous Montepulciano
d’Abruzzo, Cesanese, and Nero Buono represent the
history of the land, while Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah,
Petit Verdot, and Chardonnay bring out new interpretations
of the land.
