Bruna Grimaldi
The wines of Bruna Grimaldi represent one family’s multigenerational
effort to produce wines of the highest quality. Over a
half century ago, Bruna’s grandfather started cultivating
grapes in Grinzane Cavour, an area that borders on the major
wine regions of Alba and Asti. At that time, he was able to
vinify only a portion of his total crop, yet subsequent assistance
from his son enabled vinification of the entire yield. Under
the care of Bruna and her husband, Franco Fiorino—both
trained oenologists— the Grimaldi vineyard holdings have
expanded to include land in Diano d’Alba, Corneliano,
and Serralunga d’Alba. Further assistance from agronomist
Gianpiero Romana and winemaker Beppe Caviola has contributed
to the production of wines that proffer a genuine articulation
of the land.
The Grimaldi portfolio represents all of Piemonte’s primary
wines, including Barolo, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba,
and Dolcetto d’Alba. The sole international contribution
is made by Chardonnay, vinified solely in stainless steel.
