Carlo
De Lucia The medieval town of Guardia Sanframondi
is found in Sannio Beneventano, a mountainous and particularly
cool area of Campania. Carlo De Lucia chose this spot for
his adept and often boldly experimental winemaking. His
eponymous estate has developed several incarnations each
of the local Aglianico and Falanghina, the two grapes recognized
for varietal wines within the minute denomination of Guardia
Sanframondi. With the help of enologist Roberto Mazzer,
de Lucia preserves typicity through innovation.
