Bellavista Founded by Vittorio Moretti in 1976, Bellavista is one of Lombardia's eminent producers, authoring a style that constitutes a standard bearer for the subappellation of Franciacorta, which received a DOCG designation for its sparkling wine production in 1995. Bellavista is renowned for its prodigious efforts with méthode
champenoise bottlings, which are crafted from Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. It is particularly distinguished for its work with the Marmonnier and Coquard presses, both of which ensure that the grape skins remain largely unbroken and precipitate natural filtration. Also notable is Mattia Vezzola's usage of hyperoxygenation, a technique that preserves the freshness of the wine, thereby rendering the use of sulfites unnecessary. Very few wineries employ this process, given its inherent risks.
