Marziano
Abbona Abbona owns a total of 40 hectares in Dogliani, Barolo, and
Barbaresco, in Piemonte. Each vineyard is planted with the
varietal that benefits most from that particular site.
Marziano Abbona uses closed stainless-steel tanks at controlled
temperatures and frequently pumps the juice over the must
in a brief but energetic system of maceration, which extracts
more color from the skins while leaching fewer tannins. He
induces an early malolactic fermentation to give the wine
more suppleness, smoother texture, and greater fruit components.
Faset is one of the most prized hills in all of Barbaresco.
Stylish and elegant on the palate, this wine has great finesse,
intricate layering and a silky texture.
