IWM's event staff will assist you in developing a theme-oriented tasting that caters expressly to your wine interests or holds appeal for a broader universe of wine drinkers. Are you drawn to Barolo's mystique or consider yourself a Super-Tuscan specialist? Perhaps Brunello's palate pleasures would thrill your tasting panel, or a comparative tasting between Barbaresco and Burgundy or Tuscan Cabernet and Napa Cabs? Whatever regional or varietal focus you choose, the premise centers on delivering a dynamic tasting experience that encourages open dialogue and group involvement, stirred by the casual comfort unique to the home setting.
An IWM sommelier will serve as host, providing regional and historical background and discussing the significance of each wine individually as well as its relationship to others in your customized flight. The tasting experience will be heightened by complementary food pairings prepared by an IWM chef. Pairings may involve simple yet satisfying matches with classic antipasti and regional cheeses ideal for a wine party, or feature more elaborate preparations, served in a series of courses for a more formal sit-down dinner.
