A Taste of Indigenous Italy
Italy is home to 2,700 producers, 325 appellations, and 2,000 grape varieties—hundreds of which are not grown anywhere else in the world. This impressive offering entails an extensive catalogue of flavors unequaled by that of any other country. With so many options, Italian wine is perceived by some as overwhelming, causing many to miss out on inspirational and beautiful offerings. Take this opportunity to broaden your horizons and immerse yourself in the lesser known. Uncover a unique sparkling wine from Sicilia, or a white blend from the Veneto’s master—Quintarelli. This tasting will enable you to become acquainted with varietals such as Ribolla Gialla, Aglianico, Pallagrello Nero, and more.
Participants Receive:
• A “Taste of” six different regional wines
• Complimentary sampling of regional cheeses and house-cured meats
• Wine Note Booklet featuring IWM’s proprietary writing

Barolo, Barbaresco, and Beyond
Come experience two of Italy's most revered and highly-sought after wines—Barolo and Barbaresco. Produced in Piemonte’s Langhe Hills, both are made from the Nebbiolo grape—a thin-skinned, late-ripener that requires high altitude, exceptional exposure, a unique soil composition, and a cool-climate. Barolo reigns eternal as Italy’s "King of Wines”— a powerful, full-bodied expression that displays elegance, depth, and bold aromatics. Barbaresco shares the varietal throne as Barolo’s Queen, exhibiting a style that is fundamentally similar, while offering a finer, more elegant interpretation of Nebbiolo that is typically less tannic and thus, more approachable at an earlier stage of its maturation. We will also feature Barbera, Dolcetto, and some of Italy's most respected producers inclusive of Aldo Conterno, Bruno Giacsoa, Paolo Scavino, and more.
Participants Receive:
• A “Taste of” eight different regional wines
• Complimentary sampling of regional foods paired wtih wines tasted
• Wine Note Booklet featuring IWM’s proprietary writing
