Position:
Italian Wine Merchants is looking to hire a VP of Global Sales & Marketing responsible for the implementation of a strategic growth plan and future business development, as it relates to Sales and Marketing. This candidate will also oversee the development and administration of several complementary luxury products and services and new business development initiatives. The candidate will be expected to lead, coordinate and provide senior support to all areas of oversight, and to grow and align the Sales and Marketing/Brand Management teams through strategic hires. The candidate will also be responsible for development and oversight of the brand, a name synonymous with other high-end, luxury brand names. The candidate will work closely with other senior management, including but not limited to the Board of Directors, Managing Principal, CFO/COO, Marketing/Brand Manager and Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Leading Sales and Marketing teams’ coordination efforts, in accordance with the business strategy.
• Conducting, in coordination with Sales Manager, market analysis and performance assessment of Sales team in order to improve business model.
• Developing, in coordination with Sales Manager, strategic priorities and tangible targets and objectives for Sales team in order to significantly grow sales in existing and new markets.
• Developing, in coordination with Tasting Events General Manager, strategic priorities and tangible targets and objectives for Tastings Events Department in order to improve business model and grow revenue.
• Implementing Sales team growth strategy through the hiring and training of additional Sales Portfolio Managers.
• Monitoring, controlling and maximizing, in coordination with Wine Acquisitions Manager and Principal, wine allocations to Sales team.
• Developing, in coordination with Marketing/Brand Manager, sales lead and lead generation tools analyses.
• Advancing new initiatives, including but not limited to new referral, sales lead, lead generation and contact programs.
• Developing, in coordination with Marketing/Brand Manager, strategic priorities and tangible targets for Marketing team in order to better evaluate efficiency, channels, awareness and ecommerce growth.
• Implementing growth strategy for the brand, utilizing a luxury branding model.
• Assisting in implementation of product limited offerings.
• Continuing development, implementation and evaluation of Partnerships, Cellar Management, Brand Education Program, Wine Club and Wedding Registry.
• Advancing Sales and Marketing team morale through sales incentives and coordination of group outings.
Qualifications:
Education: MBA Preferred
Professional: 10+ years experience in sales/marketing. Affiliation with luxury goods brand. 5+ years as manager/senior leadership position in sales and/or marketing group. Liquor and or wine experience a plus.
Other: Basic knowledge of/interest in wine. Basic knowledge of/interest in food and culture. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, including Word, Excel and Power Point.

Position:
Italian Wine Merchants is looking to hire ambitious, self-motivated and industrious sales professionals. The successful candidate will have a proven record of success in fine wine, luxury goods, wealth management, financial trading or exclusive real estate sales. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with high net worth individuals, while simultaneously managing a portfolio of fine wines and other luxury products and bringing them successfully to market. Positions available in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Connecticut (Greenwich/Stamford), Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Washington DC, Hong Kong, Mexico City and London.

• Ability to identify high-level clients from large lists of leads
• Strong presentation skills to both small and large groups (20 – 100 people)
• Ability to formulate, present and implement selling plans and work within a CRM system
• Prior experience with NetSuite a plus
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task
Qualifications:
Education: BA or Certified Sommelier (impressive life and work experiences will also be considered)
Professional: Minimum 1-2 years in fine wine sales or minimum 3-4 years in sales and trading capacity. Proven measureable results from prior direct sales experience and demonstrated ability to successfully manage client relationships are required. Excellent written and verbal communication and team work skills and the ability to influence cross functional teams to achieve results are highly desired.
