This selection of powerful reds introduces Umbria's traditional rich, lush Sagrantino grape and a modern take on Piemonte's famous Nebbiolo from one of the most recognized producers of quality Barolo. Three of the wines find international mates for indigenous varietals: Toscana's Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah in the Camartina; Nebbiolo with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in the Sito Moresco; and Merlot with Montepulciano in the Planet Waves. Finally, Sportoletti expresses the terroir of Umbria through the international Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc.
