The Petrolo Winery is part of the medieval estate known as "Galatrona" and its tower, built atop roman ruins, still exists. This winery was acquired by the Bazzocchi family over 60 years ago, and since the mid-1980s the proprietors have pursued a wine production based exclusively on the highest quality research. The estate is located in the Val d'Arno, the headwaters of the Arno River valley, producing the greatest wine to ever come from that area. Magnificent concentration in this Torrione, with extraordinary balance and ripe fruit showing through. Aromas of ripe cherry, raw meat, and spice on the nose. Superb length on the finish.
